In today's video, we are gonna dive into the hidden reasons, the nuances, the things we don't really look at that could be blocking your blessing and making it harder for you to see those two pink lines. Let's dive in.
Hi, I'm Sophie Byfield and when I decided I was ready to be a mama, I thought it would be so easy. Get off birth control. Baby dance, like no one's watching. And poof, I was pregnant. But like many of you, that wasn't my story. After months of negative tests, endless treatments, and more supplements than you can count, I realized that getting pregnant isn't about fixing one piece of your fertility puzzle. Alright, [00:01:00] so five hidden reasons why you're not getting pregnant. You're not seeing those two pink lines when you're doing everything and your results look normal to optimal.
Noble to optimal. We'll dive into that in another video. But for today, we're gonna touch on the things that we don't see on TikTok, on Google, on, oh my gosh, anywhere that you're researching, trying to conceive advice. These are the deeper level nuances that are happening within your body that could really be blocking your busing.
So let's dive in. Number one is gut health. Many of us think that gut health is all about food and digestion, but it's so much more than that. It's one of the key systems in the overall health of your body, and here's how it pertains to your fertility journey, your gut processes and eliminates excess estrogen.
And if you're a little [00:02:00] backed up, that can lead to estrogen dominance, which can throw off ovulation and shorten your luteal phase. Your gut health is also important for nutrient absorption. You see all those supplements that you're taking cyst. If your gut health is off or not optimal, then there's a good chance you're not absorbing them.
Which could be leading to egg quality deficiencies. Not having enough iron for implantation, it can really throw off everything that you are doing to build the healthiest wounds and eggs possible. And let's not forget about your gut lining. When your gut lining is compromised, it sends signals of inflammation and therefore increases inflammation within the body, which can lead to implantation failure.
So how do you know if your gut health is compromised or something you need to focus on? [00:03:00] Well, if you get bloating, constipation, upset, stomach acne after eating certain foods, it's a good idea to dive into gut health to figure out if there's something throwing off your microbiome. And number two is your nervous system.
When your nervous system doesn't feel safe, sis, it can block your blessing. This is so invisible to the naked eye, but yet so powerful. A lot of us believe that your body is destined to reproduce. That's all it wants to do, but that's not always the case. Your body is designed to protect you and keep you safe.
So when your nervous system is in survival mode, whether that's from stress, from burnout, from TTC trauma, from, oh my gosh, from doing way too much, your body goes into protection mode [00:04:00] and says, it is not safe to get pregnant right now. So how do you know if your nervous system doesn't feel safe enough to get pregnant?
You could experience things like high anxiety, insomnia. You could be overwhelmed by trying to conceive and you wanna do everything perfectly. You could be up all night thinking about it. You could be getting your period ovulating, still not conceiving. The thing I experienced the most was I felt like my body was in overdrive, like I was running a marathon even when I was sitting down.
These are all signs that your nervous system is dysregulated sis, and your body is too overwhelmed or in overdrive, like in my case, to let its guard down and relax and receive. So what can you do when you're feeling anxious? Overwhelmed. I'm a big believer in box breathing. So [00:05:00] that's in for four hold for four out for four, hold for four.
It's gonna trigger your parasitic nervous system. So that is your slow down the break on all of that anxiety to help slow down your stress response or your fight or flight. So it's all about regulating your nervous system through the breathing and getting out of dysregulation or overdrive. And number three cyst is egg quality.
You could see positive opks, you can see and confirm ovulation, but your eggs still aren't strong enough or healthy enough to conceive. Egg quality reflects the last 90 days of our internal environment. Now, yes, you could be taking all of these amazing supplements for egg quality, but if you are not doing other lifestyle changes, it may take longer than 90 days for those [00:06:00] supplements to actually have an impact on the egg.
So here's some other things that could be affecting your egg quality, blood sugar swings, inflammation. Non-exercise, poor sleep, super stressed out environmental factors like plastics and fragrances. This isn't about taking more coq 10 or ubiquinol, or adding more antioxidants. It is about focusing on your full body, your whole body to improve egg health.
That means making a few lifestyle adjustments as well. And number four is chronic low grade inflammation. This one usually flies under the radar with most people's bodies, but with chronic inflammation, you can disrupt your hormone signals, make implantation less receptive and trigger early losses. And most of the time it's not something that is tested.
So how do you know if you have chronic low grade inflammation? You [00:07:00] wanna look for signs like spotting before your period, acne or skin flareups, joint pain, or fatigue. Or history with Endo PCOS or an autoimmune disorder. And number five is chasing strategy. Instead of creating synergy within the body, sis, we are always looking for the fastest, the quickest, the most reliable way to get pregnant.
And we're trying everything under the sun, but sometimes taking a step back and really working on healing your body from the inside out to get your pink lines. Will make a much bigger difference when you are synergistically healing your body from multiple angles. You can improve faster. You can see those two pink lines faster, and you can feel better in your body.
Most women, including your girl, focus on one piece. Maybe it's ovulation, maybe it's [00:08:00] supplements, maybe it's timing. But really looking at your whole body and how it works together is what's going to bring your baby home the fastest. And this is exactly what we talk about inside the heel to Conceive system.
